About Us
About us
The Coloring Cub began from something very familiar in homes with young children: kids draw a lot.
Today it’s a rainbow. Tomorrow it’s the whole family. Then come cats, rockets, flowers, dinosaurs, a house with many windows, and a mysterious shape that your child confidently insists is “a dragon, mom.”
And somehow, every single drawing feels precious.
Art has always been part of our everyday life as a family. I’m an artist, and our two children, Jeanne & Daniel, have grown up surrounded by paper, crayons, scissors, glue, free drawing afternoons, and many little “creative battlefields” around the house.
But the reality is often this: the drawings end up stored in boxes, tucked into folders, left inside drawers, or stacked in little piles around the home. We keep them because we can’t bear to throw them away, but over time, they slowly become forgotten.
The Coloring Cub was born from exactly that feeling.
We create children’s artwork collages — handcrafted wall art made from children’s original drawings. Parents send us their child’s artwork, and we carefully choose, hand-cut, and rearrange the most lovable little details: a tiny animal, a crooked little house, a giant smiling sun, a flower, an imaginary character, a funny streak of color, or a tiny face that instantly feels so completely “them.”
From many separate drawings, we create one complete artwork — a one-of-a-kind wall collage made entirely from your child’s imagination.
To us, this is more than just decor.
It’s a way of preserving memories. A way of giving children’s drawings a second life. A gentle way to reuse all those papers instead of leaving them forgotten in boxes — or recycling them during one of those moments when parents are cleaning the house while feeling just a little guilty.
Children don’t draw to make something perfect. They draw because they want to tell stories, imagine, experiment, and play. And that is exactly what makes children’s art so special.
At The Coloring Cub, we don’t try to “fix” children’s drawings or make them look more grown-up. We keep the wobbly lines, the funny proportions, the unexpected colors, and the tiny little details that sometimes only parents understand why they’re so lovable.
Because that is what real childhood looks like.
The Coloring Cub is created by parents, for parents. We understand that strange feeling every parent has with their child’s drawings: too precious to throw away, too many to hang all at once, and too meaningful to forget.
So we wanted to create a gentler solution: turning children’s drawings into handcrafted, one-of-a-kind artwork that can live on your walls, be seen every day, and be kept as a small piece of childhood.
Because one day, they'll grow up really, really fast.
